Vote-by-Mail Ballot Affidavit And Instructions

Effective October 2016, voters who return a vote-by-mail ballot who have failed to sign the Voter’s Certificate (required by law to validate the ballot) or returned a ballot with a non-matching signature are now allowed to “cure” this problem using an affidavit.

Voters who are contacted regarding this issue will have until 5 pm on the second day following the election to submit the affidavit, which will allow the ballot to be counted.
